Sport for every child
We believe every child deserves the chance to do sport, develop their talent and grow up among friends – whatever their family can afford.
The joy of moving without pressure to perform
In recent years we have met more and more families who invest a large part of their income in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy or other specialist care. Often there is nothing left for sports activities, which matter just as much for a child's healthy development. That is why we created the Sport for every child project.
Our aim is to raise funds from companies, foundations and individual donors so that children from socially disadvantaged families or children with specific educational needs can regularly attend sports and movement programmes.
Regular activity supports healthy growth, strengthens immunity and helps prevent lifestyle diseases. Mental well-being matters just as much – movement releases tension, helps children handle their emotions and builds healthy self-confidence. Our programmes are open to all children regardless of ability, build or previous experience with sport.
All-day programme
For children from 6 months to 6 years we offer all-day attendance in our children's group and our bilingual sports preschool. Children spend a day full of movement, games, learning and time among friends in small groups with an individual approach.
Sports courses
Our activities are open to children outside daily attendance too: swimming, tennis, the traffic playground, skating in winter, sports outings and activities in nature, family sports events and stays.
Safety and cooperation
We exercise in a safe environment, use suitable equipment and pay attention to correct technique. Our coaches and teachers follow the needs of every child and adapt exercises so that they are both manageable and motivating. We work closely with parents and schools and report regularly on the children's progress.
Who can be included in the project
The project is intended for children whose healthy development can be significantly helped by regular movement and whose family could not afford to take part without support. The child must be a member of Spolek Kentíků, z. s. and at least one of the following conditions must be met:
The family documents that it is in an adverse social or financial situation that prevents it from paying for the child's sports and movement activities. Acceptable documents include, for example:
- confirmation that the family receives the relevant social benefits,
- confirmation of single-parent status or another document proving an adverse social situation,
- a statutory declaration supplemented by further relevant documents where necessary.
A specialist doctor or clinical professional has recommended regular movement for the child as part of supporting their development. This may include, for example, children:
- with ADHD,
- with developmental dysphasia,
- with delayed psychomotor development,
- with coordination or communication disorders,
- with social anxiety or difficulties joining a group,
- with other health or developmental difficulties for which a specialist recommends movement.
The application must be supported by a medical report or a recommendation from a clinical psychologist, child psychiatrist, speech therapist, physiotherapist or another specialist practice.
In exceptional cases the committee of the Kentíci Association may decide to include a child on other serious grounds, where it is clear that taking part in the project will significantly benefit their healthy development.
Children included in the project may receive support in the form of:
- payment of or a contribution towards sports courses (swimming, tennis, skating, the traffic playground and similar),
- payment of all-day attendance at our facilities (excluding meals),
- a contribution towards sports stays and shared events,
- the loan of sports equipment,
- other activities approved within the project.
Inclusion in the project is not a legal entitlement. The committee of the Kentíci Association decides on admission according to how the project conditions are met and the funds currently available.
